Duke's River project shortlisted for Mayor's Big Green Fund II

The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, announces a £900,000 fund for projects improving local green spaces across London. Read the press release from the Greater London Authority.

Seven projects have been shortlisted to receive funding, which includes the project submitted by the Crane Valley Partnership, with assistance from Friends of the River Crane (FORCE).

The project is supported by the London Boroughs of Hounslow and Richmond, who will provide match funding if the bid is successful, bringing the total potential investment to £400,000. The project proposes to make major improvements to the Duke of Northumberland's River, where it flows through Twickenham into the River Thames. This will create a new ten kilometre circular riverside walk linking the Crane, Thames and Duke’s Rivers.
