The Hounslow Crane Community Project 2015-16

London Wildlife Trust is rolling out an exciting new project for nature lovers this year and we need your help!

The Hounslow Crane Community Project aims to engage volunteers in the London Borough of Hounslow. The project will be led by Conservation Officer, Tom White who will work with volunteers to undertake a variety of activities along The River Crane such as;

  • river channel improvement works;
  • backwater enhancement works;
  • floodplain enhancement works;
  • marginal planting;
  • nature reserve management; and
  • river clean ups.

This project is perfect for residents who want to do something to improve the area that they live for people and wildlife. We are forming a group of local volunteers to help improve the River Crane. Our volunteer sessions are always very rewarding and you will make some great friends along the way. We have suitable volunteering opportunities for all abilities and levels of experience.

If you are interested in volunteering, or if you know a local group, organisation or individual who would, then please get in touch.
