Paid environmental traineeship - recruiting now!

London Wildlife Trust is now recruiting for our work based environmental conservation traineeship, Wild Talent.
Trainees will gain a Level 2 work-based Diploma in Environmental Conservation. They must commit to full time training for a year, for which they will receive £13,200, paid in instalments. Three trainees will be based in south London (New Addington/Peckham) and three in west London (Acton/Hillingdon).
We are looking for practical people who have a passion for wildlife but lack higher qualifications and would like to find employment in the conservation sector. They must be reasonably literate, numerate and able to use computers as the course requires a written portfolio. If you have any keen clients, volunteers or residents who fit this criteria, please encourage them to apply for the role.
The course would suit hard working people who have the potential to undertake practical habitat management such as felling trees or mowing meadows, habitat surveying and community engagement e.g. leading conservation volunteers or environmental educations sessions for schools.

Deadline for applications is Friday 30 June
