Training courses by London Wildlife Trust & St Mary's University

London Wildlife Trust and St Mary’s University, Twickenham, are developing a suite of courses aimed at encouraging and furthering interest in our waterways and in particular rivers.  It will give people extra training that can help in finding employment or to develop an interest in further education in the environmental sector.  It will also provide the basis of linking an interest in wildlife to an interest in science and a deeper level of understanding about the rivers.

London has an encouraging variety of waterways, most of which have both contributed to, yet also been affected by the growth of London.  Just how natural are these water courses?  What challenges face them?  How can we best protect the heritage of London’s rivers?

If you would be interested in this type of course, we would love to hear from you.  Your feedback can help us run informative courses that local people will enjoy.
